Boombox Bros. was established by Curtis Rock, an accomplished nightclub DJ in the Corpus Christi area.  After being asked regularly to perform for weddings and special events by friends, he recognized there was a need for quality DJs in South Texas who had a mastery of live mixing and performance.  He also attended various weddings and special events and observed DJs playing music instead of mixing music, and being overzealous on the microphone.  Simply playing music and talking on the microphone is a task ideal for a radio jock, and requires a minimal level of skill.  Live mixing DJs, such as nightclub DJs, keep the energy high with seamless song transitions and techniques.  Curtis Rock envisioned a DJ company for clients who could appreciate the mastery and artistry of serious nightclub quality DJs for their special events.
